Line 3 of code listing 1.2 looks like a comment, but it does not begin with 
a '#' character.  This bug appears to affect every language version except 
Korean.

Fixed for the following languages: en, es, fr, it, nl. 
 
Did not fix the following languages: ru, ja.  Someone that knows russian and 
japanese please fix and close this bug.

FWIW, I only speak English and *some* Spanish.  I just clicked all the links and noted 
which versions had a line that didn't start with '#'.  I'm assuming you avoided ru and ja 
because of the charsets,  though..

This seems to be fixed in the latest ja/env.d-howto.xml (rev 1.4). Closing.
