In an amd64 gentoo box, openoffice-2.2.0-bin won't start if xorg.conf is configured to support dual head screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.launchedany of oo* through a terminal or the desktop

You mean xinerama? You'll need to tell upstream, we can't fix openoffice-bin.
