Description Steve L 2007-04-10 16:27:40 UTC
Same error as bug 150606 and bug 150190 in a source compile package, so I don't think it's an upstart issue (and no, i've never installed it ;)

Reproducible: Always

Sorry, but this is not the error. Post the actual emerge output, ebuild name and version, emerge --info and reopen then.

That's cool, i'm saying it's not a gentoo error but an upstream autoconf error. And sure, it's just a warning, but if we want autotools to improve, we need to report this stuff.

this is not to do with any specific ebuild (sorry for ref'ing other bugs, they came up in search) but came up on a src install (of http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/simulavr in this case, which has other issues..)

so iow: how do we get this changed in upstream autoconf?

Not an autotools bug either, see http://www.mail-archive.com/automake@gnu.org/msg12304.html

Anyway, nothing for Gentoo to deal with.
