(In reply to comment #1) > Created an attachment (id=115710) [edit] > gorg-0.6.3/temp/build.log > > sed: can't read Would ${D}/usr*/lib/ruby/ instead of ${D}/usr/lib/ruby/ on the sed line be OK? Works for me, if you can fix it, please do. /var/tmp/portage/www-servers/gorg-0.6.3/image//usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/*/gorg/www.rb: > No such file or directory > chmod: cannot access Same as above. Lance added those chmods because it seemed portage removed the x flag from the cgis even though they are +x in the tarball. Dunno if it's still required. > install: invalid user `apache' > install: invalid user `apache' > touch: cannot touch See bug #133713 Using a gorg group was suggested, IMO a good idea. If you can fix any of this, please do. Thanks.
I already had 1.2.8 with ldap support, so having that is not enough. recompiling dev-libs/apr-util-0.9.12-r1 with ldap support allowed gorg to compile.

'that' would be dev-libs/apr-util-1.2.8 with ldap support. > gorg does not need ldap or apr-util you seem to be correct. I am at a loss what caused it to not fail to install anymore. I could have sworn it was this. Is it possible that emerging apr-util-0.9.12-r1 created the apache user or caused it to no longer be invalid?

Having installed apache surely fixed the missing apache user/group error. There might have been a glitch when installing apache and mod_fcgid. I uploaded a -r1 ebuild in my overlay. It should fix the missing apache user and the sed/chmod path issues. layman -o http://gentoo.neysx.org/mystuff/gorg/overlay.xml -a gorg
Fixed in CVS (gorg-0.6.3-r1)
