on a freshly installed liveCD stage3 system "emerge kde" died. This got assigned to all the wrong people, and so delayed. Reassigning... -- You should try running opengl-update. If using the nvidia binary drivers, after emerging them run 'opengl-update nvidia', otherwise run 'opengl-update xfree'. Then make sure /usr/lib/libGL.{so,la} exist.
Is this now fixed?
I just succeded to install kde 3.1 today. so yes I can say it is fixed.
