Comment 1 Walter Meinl 2007-04-05 21:25:54 UTC
Playing a little bit around I found that this error message (I see it too) is due to the line inserted before parted
$(use_with dell dell-backlight) \
this includes a whitespace after the backslash, remove this blank, i. e. let the line end immediately after the backslash and the ebuild works again
Comment 2 Doug Goldstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-06 02:40:54 UTC
My bad guys. Teaches you not to make a tweak to a file after testing that it compiles cause you can make a typo at that point.

Great spot Walter. I didn't even see the space the first time I looked through the file for the issue.

I fixed this a couple of hours ago when I hit this issue on my other machine.
