This bug submits an ebuild for ntpclient, a minimal ntp client suitable for low powered or embedded machines.
Created attachment 115465 [details] ntpclient ebuild This is the only file required. I suggest the net-misc package group.
Created attachment 116070 [details] ntpclient-318.ebuild Could you confirm that this ebuild works for you? It works correctly with LDFLAGS="-Wl,--as-needed", which the previous ebuild did not. I'm not entirely happy with the way I ended up setting LDFLAGS from the ebuild, but any other way causes a link failure. It also builds adjtimex and installs the documentation that I found to be relevant. I was thinking about suggesting "ntpclient -s -h yourhost.here" in an elog message, as the default is a bit of a sitting duck mode. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Submitter doesn't seem to care about the ebuild right now. Please reopen once you have tested it.
