Description Pardsbane 2007-04-04 17:42:01 UTC
This ebuild brings mDNSResponder up to 107.6 and add support for the 'minimal' use flag, which installs just the daemon and the libdns_sd.so shared library.

mDNSResponder is Apple's implementation of the multicast DNS / ZeroConf / Service Discovery feature.

Reproducible: Always

Comment 3 Pardsbane 2007-04-04 17:45:14 UTC
these two files bring the mDNSResponder package up to version 107.6 and add support for the 'minimal' use flag.

I get sandbox violations while installing, please take a second look:

# If 'mdns' does not already appear on the "hosts:" line, then add it right before 'dns'
cp -f /etc/nsswitch.conf /etc/nsswitch.conf.pre-mdns
ACCESS DENIED open_wr: /etc/nsswitch.conf.pre-mdns
Comment 5 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-27 19:48:37 UTC
Really crappy Makefiles, but in this case I don't have the incentive to fix this properly and send it upstream, either.

In cvs.

I didn't write them, I just patched them! Thanks.

Oh, didn't meant your patch, built on it. Cursed about Apple.
