Trying to emerge db, I get configure: error: Unable to build RPC support: rpcgen failed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge sys-libs/db

3.

Actual Results:

Uhm, does /lib/cpp exist? If yes, we'll need the full log attached, as the message told you.

/lib/cpp didn't exist.  findcruft was a bit overzealous.  I remerged gcc and all is good now.  Thanks and sorry for posting a trivial bug.

Eh, it indeed shouldn't wipe links created by gcc-config. Thanks for reporting back.
