It would be good to implement the bluez use flag. It would help my multisync ebuild and also, the patches from http://www.holtmann.org/linux/kernel/ could be used on the kernel. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
I've downloaded the http://www.holtmann.org/linux/kernel/patch-2.4.20-mh5.gz patch and modified it. (So it doesn't try to modify the EXTRAVERSION in the Makefile.) I added it as patch #97 in a patches-2.4.20-gentoo-r2.tar.bz2. I've made that bz2 available on: http://yes.nu/misc/patches-2.4.20-gentoo-r2.tar.bz2 Maybe there's no use for a bluez use flag here..

http://www.holtmann.org/linux/kernel/patch-2.4.20-mh6.gz New bleeding edge version .. ;) Tell me if you wish something to be done (patches package, modification to the above file, etc).

adding search keywords so we hopefully don't get many more duplicate bugs: rfcomm sco l2cap hci_usb sdptool hciconfig hcitool This patch (mh6) works great, BTW, getting online with my T68i. Yeah, bleeding edge, I know. huh. The patch is pretty clean, and only needs the lines removed for "EXTRAVERSION" in /usr/src/linux/Makefile
