GTK+-Sourceview is a gtk-widget for showing text with syntax highlighting. This widget has been "ported" to Python (at the pygtk-project). Unfortunatly it is only provided inside the huge package "gnome-python-desktop" having too much dependencies for those wanting the sourceview-widget.

As mentioned in bug #160991 the developers do not want to split this. Anyway I file this ebuild (which is a split though), because there exist gtksourceview ebuilds for Ruby, C++ and C# - but not for Python - which is irritating :) (It alone take me some search just to find out, that it is inside the "gnome-python-desktop"-package).
