Hi, 
$SHELL is not set when logging in, resulting in GDB failing to debug anything. Other programs are likely to fail 
as well, I tried adding it to /etc/profile.env but it was removed after reboot ;(.

Oops, my shell wasn't set up properly in /etc/passwd, sorry ;)
