Some of the arguments for vpnc changed in the latest version and kvpnc now gets an error message when it tries to call it. I think this has already been reported to the kvpnc people as I found a bug entry at this location: https://gna.org/bugs/?8753 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Run kvpnc 2.Try to connect to a cisco vpn 3. Actual Results: Debug: /usr/sbin/vpnc: unknown option --udp Debug: Debug: Usage: /usr/sbin/vpnc [--version] [--print-config] [--help] [--long-help] [options] [config files] Expected Results: Succesful connection I wasn't sure if you needed to know about it since it looks like its already upstream. I tried masking version 0.4.4 of vpnc but I got different errors so I don't know if thats a solution.
As soon as bug#172778 is SOLVED this one should be solved too. It blocks <=net-misc/vpnc-0.4. Please add 172778 as dependency.
fixed by introducing 0.8.8-r1 by Elias.
