As samba doesn't have pdbsql support anymore since release 3.0.23 I think it should be available to gentoo users by a flag named pdbsql or maybe for specific flags with pdb_pgsql and pdb_mysql use flags. pdbsql is available at http://pdbsql.sourceforge.net/ and the latest release (0.2) do compile and works fine with samba latest release (3.0.24). I did some changes to samba 3.0.24 ebuild to compile/install pdbsql but I didn't split it in postgres/mysql flags as I think it's not really necessary since pdbsql doesn't broke compile process if Mysql or Postgres is not available. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 114785 [details] ebuild with pdbsql support via pdbsql use flag This is a ebuild I've changed to add pdbsql support to samba.
I'm sorry, but such a patch won't be added to the samba ebuild. One reason is that it isn't compatible with samba-3.0.25 and we don't have enough ressources to maintain them as well. Support for this will be added as soon as the samba developers have finished a public and stable api.
