Gentoo is forcing us to install lirc if we want to use xine. This is a severe 
crappy attitude, and i shouldn't even be posting this to get a valid 
workaround. The xine and mplayer configure scripts are smart enough to add 
support for lirc when it is installed, but we shouldn't be forced to install 
lirc by default.

So, please add an use variable for this, or better yet, stop forcing lirc on 
us, please
