Description Andrea Truccone 2007-03-24 14:02:15 UTC
After having compiled frozen-bubble 2.1.0 I got the following error starting the game:

Undefined subroutine &main::bind_textdomain_codeset called at /usr/games/bin/frozen-bubble line 105.

I had dev-perl/Locale-gettext version 1.03.

I updated dev-perl/Locale-gettext to version 1.05 and everything runs fine.

I found this link that maybe could be useful about this issue:

http://lists.pld-linux.org/mailman/pipermail/pld-cvs-commit/Week-of-Mon-20061023/127040.html

I think RDEPEND should be change from "dev-perl/Locale-gettext" to ">=dev-perl/Locale-gettext-1.04"

Thank you for your attention,

Andrea (alias Muradin)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Emerge frozen-bubble 2.10 with dev-perl/Locale-gettext version 1.03 or older
2. Try to run frozen-bubble from shell
3. Look to the issue reported

On my pc, fixed upgrading dev-perl/Locale-gettext

1.05 is the only version in portage has has been since Oct 2006. I think we're safe with how the ebuild is now for the usual case.

I don't expect you do something with that, but just to keep statistics ... I just hit this bug. I have dev-perl/Locale-gettext-1.01-r1 on one machine and 1.03 on another. (And of course, updating to 1.05 did solve it.)
