Ok: This turns out to be a problem with openMosix and /usr/kde/3.1/bin/meinproc. whenever I turn off migration, there is no problem compiling. with migration on, it bombs every time.
In that case it's clearly an openmosix issue not a kde one. Please reassign where appropriate.
This problem is know to the openmosix developers and should be fixed within the next release. This bug seems to be related to #17343 which describes this problem in a more general way.
Please test with openmosix-sources-2.4.20-r3 and report if the problem still exists as I compiled kde with the above mentioned kernel without any problems.
