I have KDE running with Xinerama using dual-head on my Matrox G450 card. When I mouse-over an icon on the KDE desktop or in KDE's exporer, the text under the icon disappears, and appears in the same place on the second-head screen. This probably happens about 98% of the time. I have run KDE3.0 with Suse Linux, using this computer and an identical XF86Config file without this problem. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Expected Results: Normal mouse-over operation, i.e. recolour the text on mouse-ins and mouse-outs, but not move it to the 2nd head screen.
In addition to the above, a lot of text from general dialog boxes also appears on the wrong screen. Not always entier words, sometimes just the first letter, or first few letters of a single word on a dialog box will not appear on the box, but will appear on the other screen. The "scraps" of words stay on the second screen even when the dialog closes, and only go themselves when a window covers over them.
I have upgraded XFree86 to 4.3.0 (from 4.2.1) and this problem has gone away.
