There is a new watchdog release.
Created attachment 114041 [details] watchdog-5.3.1_p2.ebuild My ebuild for sys-apps/watchdog-5.3.1_p2 To minimize changes I used the debian sources including patch, even though the level 2 patch for this only modifies the debian part of the source tree. I applied it anyway, even before other gnetooish patches, so that the debian patch which is outside of gentoo's control gets applied to the original sources and all gentoo patches can take resulting differences into account if there ever should be a conflict. The sundries patch applies without modifications, so I hardcoded the previous version to avoid yet another patch in the files directory. The other two patches applied automatically as well, but with some offset. I regenerated these patches and will append them below. I added NEWS and ChangeLog to the documentation files.
Created attachment 114042 [details, diff] watchdog-5.3.1-headers.patch Generated by applying watchdog-5.2.6-headers.patch to the sources with some offsets and diffing the result.
Created attachment 114044 [details, diff] watchdog-5.3.1-uclibc.patch Generated by applying watchdog-5.2.6-uclibc.patch to the sources with som eoffset and diffing the result.
Thanks Martin, just commited the bump to CVS.
there's no point in duplicating the patches when the old ones still apply fine offset warnings is no reason to regen patches
