'emerge -up rsync' errors with:
'emerge: the "sync" action does not support "--pretend."

Portage 2.0.47-r8
gcc 3.2.2, glibc 2.3.2-r0

rsync == sync ...

rsync is supposed to be deprecated anyways ;)

so unless nick wants to address this ...
