Description Joe 2003-03-09 17:55:28 UTC
When booting from the Live CD 1.4_rc3, the following error message appears when
switching to runlevel 3:

insmod /lib/modules/2/4/20-xfs_pre6/kernel/drivers/net/e100/e100.o: No such device.

The message is repeated several times causing all messages that were displayed
before it to scroll off of the top of the screen.

I have an Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100 card in this computer and the Live CD
loads the eepro100 module which seems to work just fine. The error message is
harmless, but ugly. If there is any information that I can supply to help
eliminate this message, please let me know.

Thanks!

Our latest experimental livecds (see experimental/x86/gamecd/ on one of our mirrors) use a
different detection technique that should eliminate this problem.

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
