it's hardly critical.
sorry... i just put that because the description for critical said "the software crashes"
(In reply to comment #2) > sorry... i just put that because the description for critical said "the > software crashes" > that's fine, defaults work best though. What version of app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-xlibs do you have installed? Also, do you have the opengl flag set on it?
It looks like I don't have the opengl flag set # emerge -pv emul-linux-x86-baselibs emul-linux-x86-compat emul-linux-x86-gtklibs emul-linux-x86-java emul-linux-x86-medialibs emul-linux-x86-qtlibs emul-linux-x86-sdl emul-linux-x86-soundlibs emul-linux-x86-xlibs These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! You dont need it globally set, just for that package at least, and that should work to install it properly.
running this command does indeed fix my problem # USE=opengl emerge emul-linux-x86-xlibs
Added check for the opengl use flag on emul-linux-x86-xlibs
