Description xtra 2003-03-09 07:26:52 UTC
i just installed rc3 and compiled a kernel with evms support using the
gentoo-sources(sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r1).
next i emerge the evms ebuild (sys-apps/evms-1.2.1-r1)

now when i start the evms cli i get following error:

EVMS Command Line Interpreter Version 1.2.0
Engine: The plug-in Ext2/3 in module /lib/evms/libe2fsim.1.2.1.so requires
Engine services API version (8.1.0) which is greater than this Engine's services
API version (8.0.0).
Engine: The plug-in failed to load.
EVMS:

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.make kernel with evms support using gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r1
2.emerge evms-1.2.1-r1
3.run evms

I am experiencing the same problem.
Also using gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r1 and latest evms-1.2.1-r1 ebuild.

xtra FYI - I just saw this: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=33285&highlight=evms

Yet evms is still only finding my SCSI disk and none of my three IDE disks. :-/

this was a non-fatal cosmetic evms bug, it falls back
to the evms ext2/3 plugin..
just doesnt tell us this.
