There is a bug in sox-12.18.2 that has been fixed upstream in 13.0.0, since the bug is not related to Gentoo / the ebuild, i just fill this a as an ebuild request. Quoted from upstream changelog: --- Fixed a bug introduced in 12.18.2 that stopped the draining of effects from occuring. This had stopped the reverse effect, among others, from working. (Reuben Thomas) --- I could make an ebuild for 13.0.0 by removing the patches and removing make install-play in src_install(). It seems the patches that were applied in 12.18.2 are not necessary anymore since : - AC_SYS_LARGEFILE is in configure.ac - $(DESTDIR) is used in Makefile.in (i did not check everywhere as i am not quite sure where it should be to begin with) I am also not quite sure about the install-play thing ... I join ebuild and diff, feel free to correct me. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. #sox infile outfile reverse 2. outfile is corrupted
