Do we need to add EBUILD_PHASE and TMPDIR? Some ebuilds rely upon it.

i think EBUILD_PHASE needs to be in there as it is often used as a QA measure (like using enew* funcs from src_* phases)

as for TMPDIR, that's in there for applications that are run that expect a sane value to be stored in there, not for ebuilds to use directly
