Description Zack Gilburd 2003-03-07 19:04:11 UTC
this version is masked via package.mask given the explanation that the package
has not yet been released. i find this interesting as i am running
mysql-4.0.11a and emerged it in my -u world yesterday.

please unmask this file, it's quite an incovieniance and is masked for the wrong
reasons.

It should really be masked.

# cat /usr/portage/dev-db/mysql/files/digest-mysql-4.0.11a
MD5 dbe1426ed5ae1626b2b1a3ebca568200 mysql-4.0.11a-gamma.tar.gz 12317114

please see the web site as well at

Comment 2 Zack Gilburd 2003-03-07 23:42:16 UTC
fine, but i would like to see a little consistency on masking, please. unless the package changed from the time the ebuild was comitted to the time it was masked, i see no reason for it not being masked straight away.
Comment 3 Donny Davies (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-07 23:52:15 UTC
well i dont know who you're talking to, i never flip-flopped it around in the first place.

you probably want to vent to method@gentoo.org who may very well be a
little sorry or embarrassed he did it - his mistake.

dont whine to me about it, alright?

Comment 4 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2003-03-08 02:06:50 UTC
it was unmasked mistakenly ...
