xfce-base/xfce4-extras has a local useflag "wlan" which pulls xfce4-wavelan. the global useflag for wireless networking support is "wifi". xfce4-extras should use the global flag instead of creating a new local one. Reproducible: Always
No, not now... USE=wifi is use.masked on way too many profiles which have xfce-extra/xfce4-wavelan keyworded.
You don't go around use.masking use.desc flags without knowledge, you package.use.mask them. It's a bug in those profiles, not our problem.
4.4.0-r1 and 4.4.0-r2 adjusted to use wifi instead of wlan now. $ pquery --raw --has-use=wifi kde-base/kdenetwork-3.5.5-r1 kde-base/kdenetwork-3.5.5-r2 kde-base/kdenetwork-3.5.6 kde-base/kdenetwork-meta-3.5.5 kde-base/kdenetwork-meta-3.5.6 net-misc/knemo-0.4.0 net-misc/knemo-0.4.5 net-misc/knemo-0.4.6 x11-plugins/gkrellm-plugins-2.0 Keywords for net-wireless/wireless-tools: | a a a h i m m p p p s s s s x x | l m r p a 6 i p p p 3 h p p 8 8 | p d m p 6 8 p c c c 9 a a 6 6 | h 6 a 4 k s 6 - 0 r r - | a 4 4 m c c f | a - b | c f s | o b d | s s | d ---------+-------------------------------- 27-r1 | + + ~ + + + 28 | + + ~ + + ~ + 29_pre10 | ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ /usr/portage/profiles/default-bsd/package.use.mask:4:kde-base/kdenetwork-meta wifi /usr/portage/profiles/selinux/mips/use.mask:156:wifi /usr/portage/profiles/selinux/alpha/use.mask:68:wifi /usr/portage/profiles/selinux/sparc/use.mask:40:wifi /usr/portage/profiles/selinux/2005.1/alpha/use.mask:62:wifi /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/ia64/use.mask:73:wifi /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/hppa/use.mask:133:wifi /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/mips/use.mask:156:wifi /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/alpha/use.mask:66:wifi /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/sparc/use.mask:41:wifi
srry about bugspam but reassigning to myself, xfce is out of here.
Removed xfce4-wavelan keywords for Alpha + IA64 as we don't support wifi.
sparc has wifi correctly use.masked.
HPPA is OK.
