be nice if each page in the mail archives had a little link to the raw e-mail ... aka something you could download and stick into your .maildir (for cases where the mail server ate one of your e-mails and you want to fetch it for your local system) http://archives.gentoo.org/gentoo-dev/msg_143318.xml add like a [Raw E-Mail]
not sure about doing this for the spam implications. make suggestions how we can protect it from spammers scanning addresses?
Maybe not provide the 100% raw , but the raw format with some select filters. Possibly using <at> and <dot> for the equiv's. using a -<at>- and -<dot>- Assuming spammers might scan for at and dot to appear next to each other, just remove them all together and put a space, So ryan@mail.tld becomes ryan mail tld
WONTFIX, due to concerns about spammers. However, as an intermediate option, I'd like to point out the archival-fetch from lists.g.o does work (look at the mlmmj docs for how) for the mails that exist in that archive (there are older mails that are lost unfortuntely).
