There are a few minor formatting errors in the fortune-mod-pqf file, in particular separating quotes into multiple sections with % when they should just have a hard return. Some examples: % Ahahahahaha! Ahahahaha! Aahahaha! % BEWARE!!!!! % Yrs sincerely The Opera Ghost % -- (Terry Pratchett, Maskerade) % and % Personally, I think the best motto for an educational establishment is: % 'Or Would You Rather Be a Mule?' -- (Terry Pratchett, alt.fan.pratchett) % and % AFPer: We've missed you, did you miss us? % TP: Yes, but I think I have time to reload. % :-) -- Terry returns to a.f.p. after a temporary absence. (Terry Pratchett and an AFPer, alt.fan.pratchett) % I've attached a copy of the pqf file with as many of these fixed as I could find; I don't know how to create the pqf.dat file. Hopefully this could be added as a fix to the repository... Also, whoever converts the next edition of the Pratchett Quotes File into a fortune-readable format, I recommend sanity-checking by searching for the % symbol repeatedly (such that the last line of your editor is always the % symbol) and making sure that the second-to-last line has "Terry Pratchett" in it. If it doesn't, it probably means the automated converter messed up.
Created attachment 112767 [details] New version of pqf, with formatting corrections This is a new version of pqf. It's the same as the old version, but has my formatting changes.
Created attachment 112768 [details, diff] Diff between my pqf and the repository's Output of "diff my_pqf standard_pqf". So you could use this to apply my changes if you didn't trust my version of pqf to not have random vandalism. ;-)
This really needs to go to the people writing the fortune files, instead.
