Description Patrick Kursawe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-07 05:45:54 UTC
The pages are directly in the man directory, not in man${NUMBER}

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
emerge tetex
epm -ql tetex | grep share/man
Actual Results:
Found them all in /usr/share/man

Expected Results:
Should have found them in /usr/share/man/man1/

Don't think emerge info will be very helpful here :-)

matthew:
same as #14998

if it's a mirror issue, assign it to mirror-admin@gentoo.org
Comment 2 Matthew Turk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-14 17:56:20 UTC
Pretty sure this IS a mirror issue. Re-assigning.

Patrick -- can you look at the ebuild you're using and see if line 124 matches the following:

mandir=${D}/usr/share/man/man1 \

If it doesn't, then please try re-syncing and see if that fixes the problem. Also, are you using any overlays, etc?

Basically, the ebuild looks fine so you may be using a stale version.

I wonder why a version which is different should have the same revision number. But whatever it was, it is gone. Looks fine now. Closing.
When I look at the CVS log, it really seems that for some strage reason I maybe had version 1.2 instead of 1.3. I am always using the same mirror which usually is fine (at least I hope so, since I am the admin).
