Did you also open a bug about this upstream so that they can fix it? (Is it fixed upstream?) I haven't had a chance to look into this at all, and I apologize for that, I hope to have some time soon.
No, I didn't file a bug upstream.
This bug is fixed in the newer releases of crm114. There is however no ebuild in portage for such a new release. I can however add one if requested.
