Looks like that the file /etc/joe/syntax/lua.jsf contains an error for editing Lua-files. Just try "joe /tmp/foobar.lua". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Type in a shell "joe /tmp/foobar.lua" (foobar.lua doesn't need to exists). 2. Check out the error message on the terminal. Actual Results: An error message will be shown: "/etc/joe/syntax/lua.jsf 183: Unknown class" Expected Results: No error message... [ebuild R ] app-editors/joe-3.5 USE="-xterm" 0 kB
I've created a bug upstream with a patch to fix the problem: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1677726&group_id=23475&atid=378598 I'll also patch the ebuild in the mean time.
Fixed in app-editors/joe-3.7 now in portage
