for the homepage, it should be easy to change by dropping a file into /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/greprefs/ named like 'all-gentoo-livecd.js': pref("browser.startup.homepage", "http://www.gentoo.org/"); also, if the livecd could include default Gentoo search engines in /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/searchplugins/, that'd be hot ... you can find them just by visiting the gentoo.org homepage and looking at the source ... you want the opensearch <link>'s
Drop some attachments here and I'll include them in the livecd/root_overlay for everything. I do like this idea. Even better would be to add them to the Firefox ebuild via USE=branding, so I don't have to repeat this again next release.

To rename anything without calling it by its codename for a release is also not permitted unless it is a vanilla build which is not possible with current state of mozilla products and the fact that everything gentoo is bleeding edge according to mozilla foundation.
incorrect ... the license applies to binaries users emerging firefox with Gentoo branding would produce a binary that *they* could not redistribute, it doesnt have anything to do with us also, the things i'm talking about here do not apply to the license issues
Mozilla: what do you guys think? I think it would be nice to have some Gentoo-branded/specific things with USE=branding. I'd love to see suggestions like Mike's and also maybe a default set of bookmarks linking to various important areas of our web, like forums/bugs/planet/packages/sources. If you're agreeable, I'll even make sure that SpanKY comes up with all of the content... ;p /me runs...
Well, why not.
We no longer release live-cds.
