Description RonnyPeine 2007-03-08 11:50:39 UTC
I updated gkrellm to version 2.2.10 today and it doesn't give the correct sensorsinputresults anymore. Especially factors and offsets can't be modified anymore and it always shows 0 for my vcore and 3.3V. The 'sensors' program of lm_sensors gives me the correct results. Even if i start from scratch with the configuration, it doesn't help. Everything worked like a charm with gkrellm-2.2.9-r1.

Reproducible: Always

I am unable to replicate this here - I get the same results with either version.

Some more questions for you:
- What is your 'emerge --info'?
- Do you have any package-specific USE flags for gkrellm / Did you emerge it with or without the new USE='lm_sensors'?
- What is your sensor chip?

As for adjusting the offset / factor, they are only available if you compile with USE='-lm_sensors', and then only for rows where you have checked the 'enabled' box... Idea being that with the lm_sensors USE flag enabled, gkrellm links in 'libsensors' which should use exactly the same calculations as the 'sensors' app from your /etc/sensors.conf

Not reproducible here either.

Ok, i have disabled the USE-Flag lm_sensors, now it's working fine. I don't know why it's having problems with libsensors, especially if 'sensors' works like a charm. I have one of the it87 sensorchips onboard and no problems with it. Thanks for your suggestions.
