Description Heitzso 2003-03-06 16:18:47 UTC
emerge gdk-pixbuf fails (1.4rc3)
(I believe) corrected by adding '}' to end of two of the ebuild files

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge rsync
2.emerge gdk-pixbuf
3.

Actual Results:
unexpected end of file, corrected for the ebuild noted by adding }
repeated the ebuild request, again unexpected end of file for a 2nd ebuild file
corrected for the 2nd ebuild file
then seems to work

I'm tagging as a major bug because abiword will not emerge
with this bug and abiword is a commonly used word processor.

this is a rsync issue
Comment 2 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-09 17:17:16 UTC
rsync bug, but without knowing which rsync mirror you got the file(s) from, it's difficult/impossible to fix. closing as cantfix for now. please re-open and update if you know the exact rsync mirror you used.
Comment 3 Throstur Svanbergsson 2003-03-22 11:03:14 UTC
I always use the same rsync mirror, rsync://ftp.rhnet.is/gentoo-portage

gdk-pixbuf-0.18-r1, 0.20, 0.21 all seem to miss the last }
Comment 4 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-22 11:22:33 UTC
That isn't an official rsync mirror, so you might try moving to an official rsync mirror for better results.
Comment 5 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-03-22 11:23:46 UTC
Just to clarify, when I say it's not an official rsync mirror, I mean it's not listed anywhere in our zone file, either by name or by IP address.

Very obsolete bug, closing.
