X server regularly locks up. Every 1 or 2 days /usr/bin/X -br -nolisten tcp :0 vt8 -auth /var/run/xauth/A:0-UqCFZG process takes 100% CPU and becomes completely unresponsive. This event does not correlate with any user activity (in fact, a user does not have to be logged in) or with any cron or at jobs, but appears to occur at random. This happens at least with Nvidia Quadro FX560 card and both with nv or x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-1.0.9746 drivers. I tried to generate a core from X when it was in a locked state by sending it ABRT signal, but X quit with no core generated. X information and emerge --info and xorg.conf are attached.

I just began having this problem after upgrading to -r5 a few days ago. I'm running the nvidia driver with the proprietary module, so I don't think the issue is limited to just the nv driver. At first I assumed the issue was with some app as it usually occurred when performing some task like opening a new konqueror webpage, or using kvirc. However, the process just froze today with just the kdm logon screen running.
Please reopen if this remains an issue with 1.3.
