Description Kelly Price 2007-03-06 03:09:47 UTC
Default install of layman causes this error:

* Error was:
* not well-formed (invalid token): line 98, column 11

This pointed to the Verihub overlay, which used a "&" instead of the XML entity &

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Start layman w/o the -n switch.
Actual Results:
* Error was:
* not well-formed (invalid token): line 98, column 11

Expected Results:
Working Layman

Work around is to pull the file manually, fix the error, and use -n -o file://...

Quoting the text of the page...

Origionally set at
"Blocker Blocks development and/or testing work of Gentoo as a whole"
due to that it causes layman to not function unless worked around, possibly halting Portage.

Set to:
"Trivial cosmetic problem like misspelled words or misaligned text"
which does not describe that layman can't handle broken XML gracefully, even though a trivial matter causes the problem.

Yes, I've reviewed it many times. If this was a trivial bug or a request for enhancement, I would of set it as such. This halts testing of the Gentoo Overlays, and is (re)set as such.
