Description Mark (voidzero) 2007-03-05 12:28:40 UTC
The 1280x1024 resolution "fingerprint-bs" theme isn't working. This is why:

images $ identify verbose-1280x1024.jpg
verbose-1280x1024.jpg JPEG 1280x960 1280x960+0+0 DirectClass 8-bit 63.3594kb

Suggestion: keep the 1280x960 resolution and add a 1280x1024 resolution:

mv verbose-1280x1024.jpg verbose-1280x960.jpg
convert verbose-1280x960.jpg -resize 1280x1024\! verbose-1280x1024.jpg

A config for 1280x960 will be enclosed into this bugreport.

Config for the 1280x960 resolution

Well, there seems to be a more elaborate problem with this theme than I originally thought.

The config for the 1280x1024 resolution points towards both /etc/splash and /etc/bootsplash. The files in /etc/bootsplash/fingerprint-bs/images/ are all wrong resolution. After resizing them and re-generating the initrd, it does work.

The 1024x768 version does not load the silent theme.

I will now wait with suggestions and patches until this bug has been picked up. *g*

Reopen with ebuild name and version, including category. I don't see any fingerprint-bs ebuild anywhere in the tree.

I'm sorry, apparantly I got this from elsewhere. After searching with equery, I couldn't find the origins. Stupid mistake. You can mark the bug invalid.

Oh, OK :)
