Description Cornelius Weig 2007-03-05 03:37:42 UTC
while I could get sound working, the microphone still doesn't.
I tried all alsa-drivers since 1.0.11 but none worked for me.

details about the system:

uname -a
Linux permafrost 2.6.19-gentoo-r5 #4 SMP Thu Mar 1 23:21:23 UTC 2007 i686 Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2300 @ 1.66GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

lspci | grep Audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)

pcitweak -l
PCI: 00:1b:0: chip 8086,27d8 card 144d,c504 rev 02 class 04,03,00 hdr 00

the analog device used by alsa is
Analog Devices AD1986A (out of alsamixer)

to get the sound working, I had to add
options snd-hda-intel model=3stack
or
options snd-hda-intel model=laptop_eapd
to /etc/modulesd/alsa.

all channels in alsa are unmuted when I check the microphone, but there is not the faintest input (the mic IS working)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install any alsa-driver
2. use microphone

Actual Results:
no audiosignal can be recorded/taken

Expected Results:
microphone working

Portage 2.1.2-r9 (default-linux/x86/2006.1, gcc-4.1.1, glibc-2.5-r0, 2.6.19-gentoo-r5 i686)
