It has been in the tree, it works and was part of the standard xfree86 distribution before. Can we mark it stable?

The real criterium for stabilization is, do you seriously use it as a non-test app? Past status quo doesn't mean anything with the move to modular ...

It's a dep of the beryl-manager ebuild in the xeffects overlay..

That seems really weird to me. Why would a WM need a client-side tool?

dont ask.. beryl-manager is not the wm, its a little applet that allow to pick the WM and window decorator.
