Bug 169081 – [gcj overlay] dev-util/gcj-4.3 -msecure-plt not supported by your assembler

I was building gcj-4.3 from the gcj-overlay.  I noticed that if I removed mozilla-firefox-2.0.0.2 or downgraded to 1.5, the problem goes away.  I see that other people in the forums have the same issue on ppc for different packages.

For me the problem is trivial, but some have problems building gcc.  Perhaps I should suggest they put -gcj in the USE flags ?

gcj-overlay is dead.  Not sure whether this is still occurring within the tree but will take the opportunistic approach and close.   If this issue still occurs please reopen with more info.
