Hello, i have setup gentoo source and rsync mirrors at adress rsync://gentoo.tups.lv/gentoo-portage and source ir http://gentoo.tups.lv/source --full mirror-- i would like to be listed in official gentoo mirrors.
getting about 237.43K/s to Canada. Atoms, please provide some specs on your hardware and internet connection.
Hardware info: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66GHz 1 Gb of RAM Link Information: 1 Gbps Latvian internet and about 10 - 15 Mbps abroad internet Abroad internet connection speed will be incerased in near future.
any activities on topic ?
fox2mike: could you please look at Atom's box. in #-mirrors he noted there is a shortage of bandwidth leaving .lv presently, but he's got 1Gbit inside .lv, and we don't have any mirrors in .lv yet.

Thanks for reply :) fixed sync time, now portage syncing every 2 hours, and sources every 4 hours.

all is ok now, i was set to rsync2.de.gentoo.org as said in http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml but that times out for me, changed to rsync1.de.gentoo.org ...

I'm holding the rsync mirror till the required domain, lv.gentoo.org is added to DNS. This might take a few days (2 or so). Updating ticket, so I know why this is on hold.
fox2mike/astinus: the lv.g.o domain does exist now, so check his rsync and add him please?
