There doesn't seem to be a lot of french mirrors so we are promoting our internal mirror as candidates for new public french gentoo mirror, hosting the portage tree and distfiles. Provided by Supélec (an Electrical Engineering school), and its students' "ReZo" association, Metz Campus. (In reply to comment #1) Should have wait a little, dns information hasn't yet propagated... ^^¹ I'll tell you when it's fixed. Hardware spec : - 3.4GHz dual core pentium D/2GB for the rsync mirror - 2*1GHz pentium 3/1GB for the ftp (atm 380GB free...)

(In reply to comment #3) Yep these DNS are ok now. Let's add that we are syncing the ftp once a day for the moment and rsyncing (every 30 mins) against asia.gentoo.org as europe.gentoo.org seems to ban our server... -- cJ

Your mirror may not be added immediately to our listing and given access to the private distribution point. We add mirrors on an as-needed basis so as not to clutter up the listing, and to provide an adequate amount of high speed mirrors. You are more than welcome to peek in #gentoo-mirrors on irc.freenode.org and chat up to see the status of your mirror being added to our official network. ^ As per http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/source_mirrors.xml Infrastructure is a little behind in bugs, please be patient.
