Description kaouete 2007-03-01 11:23:14 UTC
Hi,

It looks like that when i removed libcap, esetroot (from Eterm) didn't work anymore.

I had to recompile Eterm.

Shouldn't a use flag be added ?

Thanks :)

Reproducible: Always

i dont see that behavior over here ... what do you mean by "didn't work anymore" ?
Comment 2 kaouete 2007-03-03 13:03:11 UTC
it means that when i run esetroot i just got an error telling me that libcap.so.1 is missing, the classical missing library error :]

if you want to reproduce just emerge Eterm when libcap is installed and remove libcap and esetroot will not work anymore.

i did that already ... still works for me
Comment 4 kaouete 2007-03-04 21:33:51 UTC
you are right, it works, i don't know why it didn't work the first time, maybe it was another dependency than libcap :/
Comment 5 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-03-04 23:52:32 UTC
yeah, my guess would be some package eterm links against was itself causing libcap to be pulled in ... if you hit the issue again, please lemme know
