Created attachment 111530 [details] icaclient-10.ebuild For those that don't know how: Just make the folders net-misc/icaclient/files in your overlay (usualy /usr/local/portage); grab the attached file and save as net-misc/icaclient/icaclient-10.ebuild; copy the /usr/portage/net-misc/icaclient/files/10ICAClient file into net-misc/icaclient/files; then run ebuild net-misc/icaclient/icaclient-10.ebuild digest. I have taken the version 9.0-p1 ebuild, and modified it to the one attached. Seems to work fine for me, all feed back welcome. emerge --info Portage 2.1.2-r12 (default-linux/x86/2006.1, gcc-4.1.1, glibc-2.5-r0, 2.6.20-gentoo i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.20-gentoo i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.12.9 Timestamp of tree: Wed, 28 Feb 2007 10:00:01 +0000 distcc 2.18.3 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled] ccache version 2.4 [disabled] dev-java/java-config: 1.3.7, 2.0.31-r3 dev-lang/python: 2.4.4 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r5 dev-util/ccache: 2.4-r6 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.18.1 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.61 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10 sys-devel/binutils: 2.17 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.3.14 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.23b virtual/os-headers: 2.6.20-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-mtune=pentium4 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/share/X11/xkb /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/gconf /etc/java-config/vms/ /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/terminfo" CXXFLAGS="-mtune=pentium4 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks metadata-transfer parrallel-fetch sandbox sfperms strict userpriv" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.blueyonder.co.uk / http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/www.ibiblio.org/gentoo/ / http://vlaai.snt.ipv6.utwente.nl/pub/os/linux/gentoo/ / http://gentoo.osuosl.org / ftp://mirrors.blueyonder.co.uk/mirrors/gentoo" LANG="en_GB" LC_ALL="en_GB.UTF-8" LINGUAS="en_GB en" MAKEOPTS="-j11" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --delete-after --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages --filter=H_**/files/digest-* --prune-empty-dirs" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage/default /usr/local/portage/desktop /usr/local/portage/vmware" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="/ X a52 aac aalib acpi aiglx alsa amr ao aoss apache2 apm arts audacious audiofile avi bash-completion beagle bitmap-fonts bzip2 cairo caps ccache cdda cddb cdio cdr cjk cli cracklib crypt cups curl dbus dedicated dga dhcp divx divx4linux dlloader dpms dri dv dvb dvd dvdr eds encode esd evolution exif faad fastcgi fbcon fbdev ffmpeg firefox flac foomaticdb fortran fpx gb gd gdbm gif gimp glitz gmedia gnome gpm graphviz gs gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml hal iconv ieee1394 imap imlib ipv6 isdnlog java jpeg jpeg2k kde kerberos keyring krb4 ldap libclamav libg++ libnotify libvisual libwww logrotate mad maildir matroska midi mmx mng/ modplug mono mozilla moznocompose moznoirc moznomail mp3 mpeg mpi mppe-mppc musepack mysql nas nautilus ncurses network nis nls nptl nptlonly nvidia oav oci8 odbc offensive ogg oggvorbis openal openexr opengl oracle pam pcre pdf pdflib perl php pic png ppds pppd prelude python qt3 qt4 quicktime readline real realmedia reflection rtc samba sdl seamonkey session slp smp sndfile snmp sockets sound sox speex spell spl sse sse2 ssl stream svg sysfs syslog szip tcl tcltk tcpd theora tiff tk truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts ucs2 udev unicode usb userlocales v4l v4l2 videos vim-syntax vorbis win32codecs winbind wma wmf wmp x264 x86 xcomposite xinerama xml xml2 xorg xosd xpm xscreensaver xv xvid zlib" ALSA_CARDS="hda-intel" ALSA_PCM_PLUGINS="adpcm alaw asym copy dmix dshare dsnoop empty extplug file hooks iec958 ioplug ladspa lfloat linear meter mulaw multi null plug rate route share shm softvol" ELIBC="glibc" INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse evdev" KERNEL="linux" LCD_DEVICES="bayrad cfontz cfontz633 glk hd44780 lb216 lcdm001 mtxorb ncurses text" LINGUAS="en_GB en" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="nvidia nv fbdev v4l vesa vmware" Unset: CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, INSTALL_MASK, LDFLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS
Created attachment 111532 [details] icaclient-10.ebuild Replaces the icon in the .desktop file for the newer one.
Please move to official portage! Right now icaclient is not usable because version 9.0 is not longer avaailbale at the mentioned URL! Please raise Severity to critical!
Don't Changing the severity won't change my availability, so there's no point. I'll get to this once I get some time to test it and not before.
So then remove icaclient from portage please. It is not possible to emerge it right now!
(In reply to comment #5) > So then remove icaclient from portage please. It is not possible to emerge it > right now! > Jan, I completely agree with you that if the current portage version no longer works, then this should maybe be prioritised a little. But instead of just requesting that, how about providing some proper feedback to help the devs? The ebuild is here in this bug report; have you used it? Did it work for you on your system(s)? What arch(s) are you running on? You'll get a better response from people if you try to be at least a little bit helpful. But now it's my turn: Chris, any chance of seeing this in portage soon? I and a couple of colleagues have been running it now for a month with no issues. Thanks
I just added this to the tree. Thanks for the ebuild and the patience.
