Description Stefan Andersen 2003-03-04 16:14:49 UTC
My problem is that when I start a KDE application and try to use the
fileselector to load/save files I get a popup winndow with the title "Sorry" and
the text "Could not find mime type application/octet-stream" (OK)
After I press (OK) I get a new one named "Error" containing the text "No mime
types installed!" (OK)
After tpressing (OK) the fileselector opends an a new "Error" window pops up
with the text "Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher
said: Unknown protocol 'file'. (OK)
The will not show any files....

I have emerged kdegraphics but not so many other kde stuff... below is a list
that I got with "emerge -s kde" and removed unimportant lines
I currently have problem emerging kdebase (another bug report from me) So I dont
know if it will solve my problem but I think it will....

You'll need kdebase installed. Sorry about that.
