Description Keri Harris (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-27 08:25:16 UTC
Please stabilize dev-lang/swi-prolog-5.6.25. It contains quite a number of bug fixes over the currently-stabled -5.6.17-r1.

Thanks

Keri

I've fixed this in cvs. The JPL test suite assumed that everyone would run it with unbounded arithmetic enabled (via USE="gmp").

Thanks for catching this.

Running test set "arithmetic" .........................
/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/swi-prolog-5.6.25/work/pl-5.6.25/src/test.pl:331: Test arithmetic(floor-2) failed
/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/swi-prolog-5.6.25/work/pl-5.6.25/src/test.pl:334: Test arithmetic(ceil-2) failed
.... done.

I'm getting these 2 failures on sparc...

Thanks for catching this.

It took me a while to be able to reproduce this on bender. The testsuite was making some dodgy assumptions wrt unbounded arithmetic; this is now fixed in CVS.
