Burnt gentoo-3stages-x86-1.4_rc3.iso cd (verify on), plopped in tray of Acer Travelmate 342T laptop (P3-M (coppermine) 500MHz, 192MB 2.5GB free), hit power. The first gentoo screen comes up, but the machine hangs on "Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel." I have tried: no options, noapic, acpi=on, noapic acpi=on, noscsi Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.insert cd 2.boot 3.wait Actual Results: System install hangs at Uncompressing Linux... 0k, booting the kernel. Expected Results: proceeded with the information. fun fun fun
