There has been a vulnerability report for xcftools: http://secunia.com/advisories/35397/

Please verify that this issue is fixed before adding this package to any overlays, sunrise or gentoo-x86.

There new ebuild for 1.0.7 version.
Included patches fixes various buildsystem-specific errors and compatibility with libpng-1.5.
Unfortunately, I fail to fix nls support error, so nls forced enabled.
