would be nice to have it in portage
Well - I'll test it for the issues we had with 3.1.1 (kde 3.0.5a not compiling)... Not a big hirry, but as you say, would be nice.
qt-3.1.2 works here, it still needs designer patch (for glibc), maybe we should also include the patch which is included in bug #15265? I'm not really sure if we need the patch from bug #15265/for what it is really needed.
Works as in does not have the issue with kde 3.0.5a? I'm compiling it overnight and will do extensive testing tomorrow; if it's ok (and for you too) w'ell put it in ~ (maybe ask some people who're cc'd on the 3.1.1 bugreports to test first).
my qt-3.1.1 worked with kde-3.0.5, and my qt-3.1.2 also works with kde-3.0.5 (I didn't have the problem, it only happened on some computers).
uhm, there are some bugs discussed on kde-core-devel@kde.org, we should wait untitl they are resolved ;)
I see. OK, we can wait :-) BTW kdelibs 3.0.5a compiles fine with qt 3.1.2 (at least, it hasn't finished yet, but it's passed all the locations where there used to be errors with qt 3.1.1). So this looks promising.

kde 3.1.1 has some fixes necessary to use qt 3.1.2. We'll release kde 3.1.1 (RSN), wait for it to get stable keywords everywhere, then put qt 3.1.2 in. I've been using it and it looks ok so far.

just marked qt-3.1.2 stable. thanks.
